Instrumento musical utilizado para animar las procesiones y actos litúrgicos de los cristianos coptos. La parte superior y principal del instrumento, realizada en cobre, podemos observar una estructura rectangular donde se sujetaran las partes móviles que provocaran la música. De esta estructura de bronce  destaca las forma laterales de inspiración islámica, así como las perforaciones que las decoran. Dos alambres atraviesan el centro de la estructura y las piezas metálicas que emitirán el sonido del instrumento. El instrumento se sujeta mediante una empuñadura de madera.

Patina brillante con restos de oxido en el bronce y bella patina rojiza en la empuñadura de madera.

Musical instrument used to animate processions and liturgies of the Coptic Christians. The upper part of the instrument, made of copper, we can observe a rectangular structure where the moving parts that have subjected provoke music. This bronze structure highlighting the lateral form of Islamic inspiration and the perforations decorate. Two wires through the center of the structure and the metal parts that emit the sound of the instrument. The instrument is held by a wooden handle.
