Floyd (Book 2 of the Snake in the Willows Series)
A stuffed bear with a heavy-metal weapon, an existential crisis, and a missing girl he can?t remember.
When nine-year-old Amelia Moretti is violently snatched from her bedroom, a desperate act of magic sparks life into her favorite toy: a plush bear named Floyd.
Waking up with a sudden influx of consciousness-and a profound lack of context-Floyd is completely confused by the world. He doesn?t know what a human is, he doesn?t understand why he is filled with stuffing instead of blood and bone, and he has absolutely no memory of who Amelia is. But burned into his cotton-stuffed soul is a singular, immutable prime directive: Save Amelia.
Thrust into the sprawling, chaotic underworld of the Snake in the Willows universe-where ancient deities use modern weapons (old gods CAN learn new tricks), new tech interfaces with old magic, and ordinary citizens hide lethal secrets-Floyd hits the pavement running. Armed with nothing but an unyielding sense of duty and a kitchen meat tenderizer, this unlikely vigilante begins blazing a spectacularly bloody trail through anyone foolish enough to cross his path.
As the bodies pile up and the carnage escalates, Floyd?s quest sends massive shockwaves through the criminal underworld, inadvertently pulling back the curtain on a vast, cosmic conspiracy. The powers pulling the strings quickly realize they didn?t just wake up a toy; they unleashed a force of pure, unpredictable chaos.
Floyd is a genre-shattering, darkly comedic, and brutally violent adventure that asks a surprisingly tender question: How far would you go for someone you love, even if you forgot who they were?
