Two Weeks With Sandy! by Donald Cooper
When Jerry wins his Kiwanis Club?s booby prize - awarded to the member who sells the fewest raffle tickets - the whole family pays the price. The prize? Two weeks with Sandy, the most mischievous duck in town.
Sandy doesn?t just visit. She takes over. She bullies Satin, the family?s proud Chow Chow. She picks the lock on her cage - again and again and again. She claims the swimming pool as her own private kingdom and sends the whole family chasing her through freezing November water. She hitches a ride on the school bus, declares war on the vacuum cleaner, escapes into the neighborhood, and nearly steals the Thanksgiving turkey right off the table.
Told by young Donald with love and laughter, and featuring his sister Heidi, his mom Carole, and his dad Jerry, Two Weeks With Sandy! is a true family story about the two wildest weeks of one boy?s childhood - and the duck nobody could forget.
A heartwarming, laugh-out-loud tale for kids and the grown-ups who read to them.
