Preciosa y especial hucha realizada en Francia hacia 1890 en el contexto del Grand Tour. Realizada en madera ebonizada, de perfil cilíndrico con galones en la base y en la parte superior. Enriquecida con decoración de guirnaldas florales de latón, en el sobre o tapa y en la parte delantera, donde hay un orificio para la cerradura (sin llave). Estos adornos de latón presentan en su campo central dos escenas de arquitectura italiana, obra de offset. En la parte superior se encuentra la abertura para la propia hucha. Tiene un pequeño pelo en la parte delantera, sin importancia en su conjunto. Estas piezas compradas como recuerdo en Europa por viajeros europeos y estadounidenses constituyen un estilo llamado "The Grand Tour". Esta tradición se remontaba al siglo XVIII, donde los estudiantes más cultos viajaban por diferentes ciudades europeas para adquirir conocimientos y cultura. Medallas, monedas y sellos se exhibirían ostentosamente en gabinetes y bibliotecas de aquellos viajeros; y servían para mostrar las costumbres sociales y estéticas del momento. Pieza de colección.

Beautiful and special piggy bank made in France around 1890 in the context of the Grand Tour. Made of ebonized wood, with a cylindrical profile with chevrons at the base and top. Enriched with decoration of brass floral garlands, on the envelope or lid and on the front, where there is a hole for the lock (without key). These brass ornaments present in their central field two scenes of Italian architecture, a work of offset. At the top is the opening for the piggy bank itself. It has a small hair on the front, unimportant overall. These pieces purchased as souvenirs in Europe by European and American travelers constitute a style called "The Grand Tour." This tradition dates back to the 18th century, where the most cultured students traveled to different European cities to acquire knowledge and culture.
