Descripción:

- Díptico con un Vía Crucis plegable de viaje, hecho de cuero de alta calidad, y dos Placas de metal trabajado. De estilo plenamente modernista, probablemente se realizó en España en la Segunda Mitad del S.XIX.

- Las dos partes del Díptico se han enmarcado por separado. No se han desmontado del marco para su descripción.

- Probablemente los exteriores del Díptico sean planos con algún estampado de hierros, extremo éste que no se ha comprobado.

- El cuerpo izquierdo del Díptico contiene las siete primeras Estaciones del Vía Crucis, entre las que se han desarrollado diversas filigranas de flores y elementos geométricos. En el centro tiene un pequeño Crucifijo superpuesto.

- El cuerpo derecho del Díptico contiene las siete segundas Estaciones del Vía Crucis entre las que se extienden las correspondientes filigranas.

- El cuero perimetral de cada Placa tiene un filete de hierro dorado y dos pequeños hierros de florones dorados en su parte superior.

- Las Placas no tienen ninguna marca o inscripción que las puedan identificar.

- Las Placas son de una aleación de metales blancos, que podría ser plata. Con una muy cuidada ejecución, parece ser que están troqueladas, aunque podrían estar hechas mediante un finísimo repujado y cincelado.

- Todas estas características que tiene el Vía Crucis proporcionan una pátina muy interesante, con un aspecto muy atractivo y de calidad.

Conservación y desperfectos:

- El Vía Crucis, considerado globalmente, se encuentran en muy buen estado de conservación.

- El Crucifijo ha perdido tanto la parte superior como la inferior de la cruz.

- El cuero tiene algún roce en las partes más externas del Vía Crucis.

- El Objeto presenta el desgaste propio de su tiempo.

- Tanto las Medidas, como el Peso, son aproximados.

- Los tonos de los colores de las fotos no son iguales a los tonos de los colores reales.

- El Objeto en venta es el que se corresponde con las fotos.

Description:

- Diptych with a folding travelling Stations of the Cross, made of high quality leather, and two worked metal plaques. Fully modernist style, probably made in Spain in the second half of the 19th century.

- The two parts of the diptych have been framed separately. They have not been removed from the frame for description.

- The exteriors of the diptych are probably flat with some iron stamping, although this has not been verified.

- The left body of the diptych contains the first seven Stations of the Cross, among which are various watermarks of flowers and geometric elements. A small Crucifix is superimposed in the centre.

- The right-hand side of the diptych contains the seven second Stations of the Cross, between which the corresponding filigree designs are spread.

- The perimeter leather of each Plate has a gilt iron fillet and two small gilt fleuron irons at the top.

- There are no identifying marks or inscriptions on the plates.

- The Plates are made of a white metal alloy, which could be silver. They seem to be very carefully executed, and it seems that they are stamped, although they could be made by means of a very fine embossing and chiselling.

- All these characteristics give the Stations of the Cross a very interesting patina, with a very attractive and high-quality appearance.

Conservation and damage:

- The Stations of the Cross, taken as a whole, are in a very good state of preservation.

- The Crucifix has lost both the upper and lower parts of the cross.

- The leather has some rubbing on the outer parts of the Stations of the Cross.

- The Object shows wear typical of it's age.

Comments:

- Both the Measurements, as well as the Weight, are approximate.

- The tones of the colours in the photos are not the same as the tones of the real colours.

- The object for sale is the one that corresponds to the photos.
