Descripción:

- Xilografía, grabado en madera a color. Perteneciente a un periódico de la época.

- Se refleja una vista desde el espigón, dibujado en el acto por F.G. Sargent, Esq.

- Se observan varios personajes a lo largo del espigón, varios veleros y al fondo, la ciudad y el castillo en lo alto.

- Estamos ante un grabado en madera, xilografía. Es sin duda la técnica de grabado más antigua, que se remonta al S.XIV en Europa. El artista utiliza una herramienta para quitar trozos de madera y hacer un dibujo en negativo.

- Tiene un tamaño pequeño, cuadrado y está sin enmarcar. En la parte trasera está parte del texto del periódico. Pegado a una cartulina de color negro.

- En la esquina inferior derecha tiene la marca de lo que parece un sello o una marca de agua.

Conservación y desperfectos:

- Estado general bueno.

- El Grabado tiene un papel de espesor medio y buena calidad.

- No tiene manchas de óxido ni de humedad. Está recortado.

- Presenta el desgaste propio de su tiempo.
