Descripción:

- Grabado Sello de Juan sin miedo, Duque de Borgoña.

- En el grabado aparece el sello de Juan sin miedo, de una forma amplia y cuidando el detalle.

- Todos los títulos y firmas están fuera de la plancha.

- En el margen superior tiene la leyenda “FRANCIA (S.XIV) – FRANCE (XIV. S)”

- En el margen inferior tiene la leyenda “Sceau de Jean sans peur, Due de Bourgognel – Sello de Juan sin miedo, Duque de Borgoña”.

- En el ángulo superior derecho tiene impreso el número “366”, lo que hace suponer que el Grabado es el número 366 de una serie.

- Augustin François Lemaître: Grabador, litógrafo, diseñador, editor y fotógrafo francés. Representó muchos paisajes, monumentos, arquitecturas y personas, especialmente durante sus numerosos viajes por Europa.

- Grabado Calcográfico al aguafuerte sobre acero, aunque también podría haberse utilizado otra técnica distinta.

- Probablemente es un Grabado perteneciente a un libro.

Conservación y desperfectos:

- Estado General: Bien.

- Esta muy bien de tinta, y tiene una buena estampación.

- Realizado en tono monocolor negro, muy bien de tinta.

- El lado superior del papel no mantiene la paralela a su lado opuesto, resultando el papel del Grabado con forma irregular.

- El margen superior es escaso e irregular y el margen inferior es escaso. Los márgenes laterales son amplios.

- El Grabado tiene un papel de espesor medio grueso y regular calidad, pegado por las esquinas a otro papel.

- El Grabado está sucio, teniendo los bordes bastante más sucios, con pequeñísimos rotos, y las puntas levemente deterioradas con ligeros doblados. Tiene pequeñas manchas de humedad y óxido.

- Si se le aplica un ligero lavado y blanqueado, el resultado sería muy bueno.

Description:

- Engraving Seal of John without fear, Duke of Burgundy.

- In the engraving appears the seal of John without fear, in a wide form and taking care of the detail.

- All the titles and signatures are outside the plate.

- In the upper margin it has the legend "FRANCE (XIV. S) - FRANCE (XIV. S)".

- In the lower margin it has the legend "Sceau de Jean sans peur, Due de Bourgognel - Seal of Jean without fear, Duke of Burgundy".

- In the upper right-hand corner is printed the number "366", which suggests that the engraving is number 366 of a series.

- Augustin François Lemaître: French engraver, lithographer, designer, publisher and photographer. He depicted many landscapes, monuments, architecture and people, especially during his many travels in Europe.

- Intaglio etching on steel, although a different technique could also have been used.

- It is probably an engraving from a book.

Conservation and damage:

- General condition: Good.

- The ink is very good and the print is well stamped.

- It is in single-colour black, with very good ink.

- The upper side of the paper is not parallel to its opposite side, resulting in an irregularly shaped engraving.

- The upper margin is scarce and irregular and the lower margin is scarce. The side margins are wide.

- The engraving is on medium-thick paper of average thickness and regular quality, glued at the corners to another paper.

- The engraving is dirty, and the edges are much dirtier, with very small tears, and the tips are slightly deteriorated with slight bends. It has small damp and rust stains.

- If a light washing and bleaching were applied, the result would be very good.
