En el fondo de la escena, se aprecian varios clientes sentados en mesas y bancos de madera, disfrutando del ambiente relajado del lugar. En la entrada, el patrón de la taberna se apoya sobre una barra improvisada con barriles, conversando con el tabernero. De la puerta cuelgan una bandera tricolor (roja, blanca y negra) y un banderín celeste y dorado, ondeando con naturalidad.

En primer plano, frente a los barriles, destaca un camarero con pipa en mano y una botella en la otra, acompañado por un perro negro fiel a su lado, lo que aporta un toque entrañable a la escena. En la esquina derecha, una mujer aparece sentada con una cesta sobre el regazo que contiene un pequeño rosal en flor, añadiendo sensibilidad y ternura a la composición.

El lienzo mide aproximadamente 56 x 69 cm y conserva su marco original de madera tallada con relieves florales, muy decorativo y de gran peso. El marco presenta algunos desperfectos, como puede observarse en las fotografías, y mide en total unos 82 x 93 cm. La superficie del óleo presenta craquelado y algún pequeño desconchón, acorde a su antigüedad.

In the background of the scene, several customers can be seen sitting at wooden tables and benches, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. At the entrance, the tavern's owner leans on a makeshift bar made of barrels, chatting with the innkeeper. A tricolor flag (red, white, and black) and a light blue and gold pennant hang from the door, waving casually.

In the foreground, in front of the barrels, a waiter stands out with a pipe in one hand and a bottle in the other, accompanied by a faithful black dog at his side, adding a warm touch to the scene. In the right corner, a woman sits with a basket on her lap containing a small rosebush in bloom, adding sensitivity and tenderness to the composition.

The canvas measures approximately 56 x 69 cm and retains its original, highly decorative and heavy wooden frame carved with floral reliefs.
